Shared bank. Interesting idea! Would characters have shared money to or? Like for example if I wanted to make another character would I have to do what you did in FO and get all the money all over again or will there be a shared money expense?

Might as well have a gold deposit in the shared bank/vault, because I think llama said somewhere that money will be character specific, like inventory.

Money will be per character while premium currency will be shared as there might be some features that are not character specific that you can purchase so it can't be per char. Not sure yet if I'm going to add a gold slot to the bank. Will know when I get there.

FrozenSovietI read somewhere on this post about "ability trees" and that sounds real nice. Will a talent tree be introduced similar to LoL's style (for your overall character) or is it planned only to have these ability trees? I have a few more questions pertaining to ability trees. I will try to be as indepth as I can with these: 1. Are skills planned to have a set of given skills by default and then through the use of the ability tree, unlock certain actives based on a players choosing? To try and clarify through example, will choosing a "heal" skill give me spells such as heal, fast heal, and big heal and then give me the option to choose roughly 3 other spells out of super heal, mega heal, frozen heal, and llama heal? I was running out of names for the example but is this the direction you are looking towards? 2. Will the ability trees offer some passives or ability changing (for use of a better word) talents? 3. Based on your impression as it stands, how much of a percentage do you believe a player will be able to fill these ability trees up at the maximum level? In other words, do you believe we will have all talents, most talents, about half, or very few? 4. Will each skill have a set of ability trees? Is this only planned for combat skills? 5. Do you have a number in mind for how many talents will be in each tree? and finally as a suggestion, in-game currency or low priced premium currency for an ability tree flush might help with the sale of premium currency if used. Just a thought.

remeber the FF10 skill tree? Wouldn't be fun and cruel if we had something similar but we randomized it every time you made a new character. On top of that you are not allowed to see being a few nodes. I think it was called the sphere grid.

Actually, now that I think about it, this sounds similar to the job and abilities system in FFV, except you can hold multiple jobs...

I don't see why a story would be impossible to write for crafting characters. I would give serious praise to anyone who could write a good storyline for my alternate character so he might not have to merch all day. You really wouldn't want to embark on an adventure of coin and intrigue? Traveling the world as Crafty Craftson; securing the world's most exotic ingredients and materials to continue your economic war with rival NPC merchants? Dude, it would sound pretty fun to me. It's not impossible to write a story for crafting characters but it adds more of a workload to PinkCrown. The story would be so dull and boring for a crafting-only character that nobody would do it. Can you imagine going back and forth gathering materials and then just talking to people? People want action! It's just not worth the time and effort to create a storyline for noncombat characters. I don't know if you've played it, but Summon Night: Swordcraft Story for the GBA had a really fun and interesting story built around a "crafter" character: It starts off with a novice crafter following his dad's steps and wanting to become a CraftLord, who enters a tournament and enters a dungeon to get better materials for weapons. Later on, it goes 180° on you and starts to go through some pretty heavy stuff like political betrayal, suicidal attempts, triangular relationships, near-war state and finally ends with an over-the-top battle against a being from another world who's got your best friend captive, right after crafting the ultimate weapon. I don't see how a crafter story CAN'T be interesting. It just doesn't have to be purely about crafting.

Sounds interesting, hope i'll be able to make a weird quirky character :3 But I intend to take the game to it's fullest, probably with mostly non-combat skills, and a select few combat skills in order to keep up with other combat classes and game progression. But so far its a +1 for me.

On top of that you are not allowed to see being a few nodes. I think it was called the sphere grid. Okay the sphere grid in FF-X was awesome but also confusing if you randomized it every time you made a new character it would make it more complex but also super fun because there's a chance of getting super OP skills at the start, But yeah a randomized Sphere grid type skill tree would be cool because it would almost force you to play as a certain type of character so then the game would not have an abundance of people with the exact same skill set giving the game a more diverse feeling...Just a thought
