WOW and you said it will be cycle of day , smoothly changing light!!! This i didn't expect. I will love this :> And i wanted to ask for lamp light but i was thinking about that this was already said somewhere and it would be awkward to ask "Will you add lamps?" Obviously it was awkward to ask for a cycling of the day too. It have been said already :<

That was said in the developer forum, not the development forum. My mistake for not being more clear. It wasn't public. Also, those were just examples, that doesn't mean they will make it in game. We are still researching to see if it is feasible. It does add more work because now everything we make has to have a shading map assigned to it. Characters, items, tiles, objects in game, npcs, mobs...everything.

It's not that it's super difficult to make (although there is the usual sort of hurdles that need to be considered).
But it's more the sheer amount of extra work needed. Considering that there isn't a paid art -team- working on it, it's a lot to ask a few people when they're already doing an entire world, sprites, tiles, objects, icons, etc etc etc.
Each of the things made would also need 'light maps' created for the same item, to let the lighting work.
It might be something that gets added later in the game, once kinks are worked out.

Nevermind if this gets later in game. I think most of FO lovers, wanting a "new game" upcoming in 5-7 months are looking forward the first release !!! By my opinion

I personally have always liked when the day/night cycle wasn't 24 hour based. More like 8 hours day, 8 hours night. Then you have have events that happen day/night like only some monsters come out at specific times. And someone who can't be on at the 24 hours night cycle will have a chance.

not 24 hours, but now MC's 20min days so more like 8-12 hours

I also like using odd numbers, something that makes days not evenly divide into a normal day cycle. Something long enough that you have to wait but short enough that you could be on for an entire "day" in a good play session. By using something like 7 hours, you end up with odd days/nights.
