Quickly scanned the list and didn't see anything about this.
As we're all aware, FO had achievements.
Has any pondering come about with achievements for the players? While not a major thing, it adds to the sense of player progression and gives something to go for.
Then there is the whole charade about spending achievement points, but I'm more concerned on if the game will have achievements themselves.
Just something to consider if not already considered.

I have 'cheev addiction issues.
They're something easy to do that people love so I don't see why we wouldn't eventually include various achievements, deciding on the actual types/how they'll work/if they'll be for anything other than pride will have to wait though.

There are those achievoholics, yes, but I never felt that kind of pressure with FO. Sure, there was that dialogue box at the bottom that lets you know you did something awesome and it always made for a nice picture, it didn't really seem important. It was more of a 'Oh, hey! Look at that!' rather than an 'OMFG YES I FINALLY DUN DID IT!'
Achievements are great, but they should somehow be stressed more in the new game. I'm not saying achievement points, but maybe a badge or something.

Earning a badge for earning achievements is the same as earning achievements... Achievements make me happy

Earning a badge for earning achievements is the same as earning achievements... I mean a badge someone can show off to other people, a small annotation underneath a displayed username. If you collect 100 items without selling anything, your username reads 'TheKow - Extreme Hoarder.'

You mean something like a title? That would be a great idea. Personally I would strive for achievements much more and actually care about getting them.

While they might not be in the first release, stuff like this will be added eventually. We just have a long list to get through first. Keep up the discussion though as it helps to go back and review these types of things when it comes time.

Terrazer, Pimp Lord I can already see this! I really like the titles idea when you get achievements. At least there's something to get other than "yea! You did it! You killed 1M Llamas!"

Now I'd like a reward from doing achievements, makes more of a replayability!

I love achievements. I love achievements for getting achievements. If this game has achievements for getting achievements for getting achievements, I will never stop playing.

I like the idea of the titles. Maybe we could get multiple titles as you complete more achievements and you can choose one to be next to your name or something.

Having different stages of achievements would probably greatly help how much time people put onto the game. Like let's say, kill a hundred, then a thousand, then a hundred thousand, then maybe a million, etc. (Just for an example). If every achievement is made like this but given proper rewards for how long it takes or how much work, it gives people a reason to keep playing and achieve more. One thing achievements could do is something like hidden achievements, ones you have to find out, or timed ones. If achievements are placed in EVERY aspect of the game, it'll make people want to master everything, especially if proper rewards / titles are given out. Perhaps even make achievement lists, where if you complete a certain group of them there's a big reward, but of course it shouldn't be a complete cake walk to get all of them.

I think melding the achievements into the actual ingame universe would be pretty cool.
In FO the achievements had no part or mention in the game at all.(That I know of, but I'm pretty sure on this one)Achievements had their own window and were always in the game, never being really introduced, but always simply there. Having characters and the universe acknowledge the presence of something like 'achievements' would add more immersion into the game and make the players feel more like they are their character, as opposed to being a person in front of a computer manipulating an avatar.
The only games I've ever played that did this were the Assassin's Creed series; where most of the achievements were presented as a list of challenges on each of one of the 3 or 4 guild's headquarters. They still functioned exactly like achievements, but it's small stuff like that little bit of acknowledgement that elevated the AC series and other AAA games over the rest of their competitors.

Yes indeed, a simple thing that can be added for very little programming is when dialog appears it includes your name, also it could include your title(ie an achievement like master potato killer). eg: "Ah Acappella the Master Potato Killer, I have a interesting quest for you."
