Unfortunately, we would rather avoid any chance of copyright issues in this game, so I wouldn't be expecting items straight from other games/films/series/books To confirm, this game is not a new FO, it isn't FO being redone, it's a whole new thing, and lots of us just happen to have worked on FO in the past. We know it being announced here on the FO Legacy board is a bit confusing, we'll be moving to a new forum once we have enough of the game (like the name, base art etc) decided so that the new forum suits the game For item creation, it's something we would love to incorporate into the new game, but something we need to have a pretty intense discussion about, the style is a bit more complex so we need to make sure we've covered all the bases before telling people they can get items in.

How about a Retro/Pixelated Crab pet or something. A nod to FO and a permanent crabby companion. Just an idea.

I agree with Terrazer, to add more complex crafting, but you should add some kind of breaking to make food to fill hungerbar or HP like in Minecraft. And also, you can add some sort of homes to buy (tents or huts at start)

i think that there should be a ninja suit that increases agility and a little bit of damage (if stuff is going to be similar to FO)

One thing I would say should be made, and I believe I saw someone mention it in here, is enchantments. If different equipment has different random stats and abilities, it would create more variety in game play and the market. Maybe have basic things that add slightly different stats but more rare and more powerful items have special stats and/or abilities that are randomized to a small degree, not always more powerful than other variants but just different, too - like one has extra damage or effect against one type of enemy, just for a basic example.
Another idea I have that would greatly help equipment is something to do with different elements, like one time of armor would defend well against fire. Or even just use this in different types, like arrows, magic, swords, blunt stuff. Armor could be weak to one or more but strong to others, and vice versa. This could possibly go into the thing I said above, maybe have this randomized for more variants.
In the old game, one problem I had was that the options for equipment was so low, I used very few things and was rather bored when I was looking for new armor. I've played games where new armor was fun to try out but it had no variants between armors and there were few sets actually worth using in my opinion as well. I don't know much about coding, it's a field I'm planning on going into but as of now if these ideas are too hard to code you have my apologies.

Hehe, I saw that back in FO there was a problem that Tier/Crafted armor was far superior to close to any other equipment in the game, save for a few scenarios. So my idea is that the crafted armor provide the steadiest and most even stats for any armor within the same rarity or level, however monsters, quests or alternative crafts provide you with armor that boosts one area of the tier armor, but in return lowers another area which would allow for a range of armors for a range of different gaming and play styles and situations.
For example, imagine the first craftable armor giving you something like +20 ATK, +20 DEF. An alternative loot drop may be +25 ATK, +10 DEF or +25 DEF, +10 ATK.

I agree with the idea of Enchantments. Say there could be a shop every once in a while in some areas, that would allow players to enchant their weapons. This process could be similar to FO crafting whereas you bring the NPC the items needed for enchantments and then pay a fee. Afterwards you would wait for the required time. Enchantments could be broken (From time and use) so it'd be more complex. This would make each weapon more unique because the stats on the weapon would be different.
There could be crafting Enchantment Scrolls or possibly gain Enchanted Weapons from crafting. Those would be the item suggestions. I piggy backed on the other people who suggested enchanting.

I'd love to see more modern weapons and clothing. I'd simply enjoy wearing a white hoodie, some black or blue jeans, and wielding a shotgun or pistols. Or even using a chainsaw and chasing after enemies. These ideas are something I had always wanted to be in the game.
It is fantasy after all, so why not? It could help the player relate to the game more in my honest opinion.
