So... kinda like PVP in the Carnival? Hopefully with less spamming and more strategy. Yup, so more people have better strategies on how to attack their opponents and unlike the small confined space of the carnivale (no offence whoever made the carnivale) you have more space to roam just like in the hunger games. I wish hunger games in general would have more enviroment based warfare, like the book, and so that even someone from the bottom can kill someone on the top, and teamwork is more important.

Personally I love the card games from Final Fantasy 8 and 9. They were simple yet addictive, and each new town you came to had their own local rule tweaks to vary the gameplay. Most NPC's in the game could be challenged for a game, and some of them had unique cards you could only get from that person.
That was enough to get me hooked (don't underestimate the power of "gotta catch em all"-syndrome), but you could also transform excess cards into items to fight or craft with which adds a bit of dimension.

I've never played the FF series (some day when I have time I hope to), but that system sounds really awesome. I am a collectaholic!

Yeah, so am I =) Also I liked how it added extra incentive to advance in the story, since new places = new cards! Would be cool if LQ had a similar sort of "main" minigame, which develops in some way as the story unfolds. As well as providing things to collect, lists to complete, stuff to unlock... ^_^
