I've always enjoyed mini-games because it allows you to do something different while still playing. You could play with your guild or friends when you want to take a break from grinding. I think it's best to keep it simple so stuff like Trivia, Hangman, Crazy 8's, Blackjack, Liar's Dice, etc. might be fun. Or if you wanted it to be more complex you could set up a formalized system for racing or hide-and-seek. That would kind of help eliminate the disputes that always came up about whether so-and-so was cheating. If done right, it could be monetized it where the mini-games are premium content or something.

Now I'm going to add a race track. MMaybe a chariot race where one person has to pull another.

More on topic, I really do like mini-games. They are fun and a great way to waste time. They might not be in at first, but we will find something fun to do for competitions.

What about crafting and such? You could make it like pokemon where mini-games are how you create things/train. Or. to be more original, mini-games could be used to for better prices or convince merchants to sell their "elite" gear or something.

In reality, if there was a race thing setup, it would probably be within the game, not a separate map. Just off the top of my head, something like a race from city to city where you get teleported to a starting line, debuffed and not able to move for 3 second countdown. Then you would just race to another city where you talk to another NPC. Whomever talked to the NPC first would win something. The click paths could possibly be recorded to provide a way to allow people to do a timed race against a leaderboard.
I am not a fan of mini-games that are shoehorned in and you are forced to play them to do stuff in game, such as crafting. The games are generally not well thought out and get old/boring fast. Then to be forced to do them just makes you mad. Especially if you lose and end up not being able to craft something and are then forced to play the game you dislike again. I see no problem with things like quests that say "Deliver this message within 5 minutes, it is urgent!". But I would probably rather see those as side quests and not apart of a main storyline.

Hunger Games minigame? I would explain the concept of it but right now, I do not know the controls, basics, or anything in the new game coming up, but if hunger games would be added to the new game that would be awesome.

So... kinda like PVP in the Carnival? Hopefully with less spamming and more strategy.

Yup, so more people have better strategies on how to attack their opponents and unlike the small confined space of the carnivale (no offence whoever made the carnivale) you have more space to roam just like in the hunger games.
