This is for all the people who have stumbled upon this site on rumors of another Fantasy Online, or a FO 2.0 to speak. Now, before we begin allow me to say that I loved FO. Chances are I loved it more than you even! *collective gasps* I was addicted to it, truly addicted. It was my very first MMO, and my introduction to chatting with people over the interwebs. I was fortunate to have "grown" in a guild that was kind and close-knit, and I still have friends from FO who are very dear to me.
Now! With that being said it's time for the facts. Yes, there is a new game in development right now and it's turning out amazing. But, it is NOT a new Fantasy Online, nor is it a sequel. No need to be sad, because this new game is going to be a pure pixel extravaganza. The link to the main site will be posted below.
-What is it called? The game is called Llama Quest! Beautiful pixel work, advanced skill and ability options, an engaging story and wonderous coding is the package known as Llama Quest.
-Who's making the game? A group of mods from FO banded together to create this new experience. Some familiar names include but are not limited to: Aridosa, Bamboozle, Lighterthief, FrozenSoviet, iamallama, Minche, PinkCrown, Mugwa, and Roxas4522.
-Open Alpha testing? There was a limited time frame where members could apply to be Alpha testers. The deadline passed and a handful of applicants were chosen. They now work at hunting bugs and testing new features. Applications for Alpha testing are currently closed.
-Can I help? Yes! Every member has the chance of helping in the development of Llama Quest. Have a knack for 16-bit pixel art? Know how to code and program? Have skill in the music department? Love making up lore and legend? Then contact a staff member and show them what you can do.
Have no skill whatsoever?? Then donate! It takes currently $80 (U.S.) for server costs. Perks of donation also include: Early Supporter title, access to the private supporter forum with sneak peeks ($5 minimum), and more! Even if you can't donate, we'd love to have you around and be a part of the community.
Link to the site: llama-quest.com I suggest reading the recent devblogs to get up to date with the latest news and dev talk about the game. You can find the devblogs in the News and Patch Notes section.
tl;dr There is no new FO, but another awesome game in development at llama-quest.com
