I have a few questions of my own, also a request to update the FAQ if possible with the latest news.
1. Will there be stat points such as STR, AGI, INT, CON, received each level up? I know of the skill system already but wasn't sure if stats were included as I have heard nothing at all about them.
2. Any news on how the combat system will work?
3. Will we have Rebirth and Ascension? (I loved those)
4. What kind of bonuses will be received from equipping armors? Like stats only? Armor and stats? Something else?
5. Will there be transportation or teleportation between maps, other than walking everywhere?
Answers appreciated, thanks.

I have a few questions of my own, also a request to update the FAQ if possible with the latest news. 1. Will there be stat points such as STR, AGI, INT, CON, received each level up? I know of the skill system already but wasn't sure if stats were included as I have heard nothing at all about them. I don't know yet. Still. I think we will be trying to use just the skills, but we might add more later. 2. Any news on how the combat system will work? Once again, I don't know. Honestly, I have a vague idea of how I want it to work, but it rarely ends up that way. It is very likely we will go through a few iterations before we decide on which is the most fun. 3. Will we have Rebirth and Ascension? (I loved those) I personally didn't like these, but I know a lot of people did. We are really focusing on story, so having to replay the same section of story over and over doesn't sound like fun. Maybe it is, I don't know. It is something that might be added later if people want it and we have a point that makes sense to reset in the story. So maybe as part of the story. 4. What kind of bonuses will be received from equipping armors? Like stats only? Armor and stats? Something else? Until we have equips and know what stats are even going to be available, it will likely be only armor or something like +atk/+defense. 5. Will there be transportation or teleportation between maps, other than walking everywhere? I like maps that have you walk places, at least once. Teleporting is available, but I still haven't decided how it will be used. We could go with just an NPC to do it, the traditional "home stone", even make it a skill.

Thank you All understandable responses. 1. I'm hoping the skills will be enough to make our character crafting a truly unique experience. 2. I'm not sure what to suggest for combat, I like the basics of what FO, maybe just take that and improve it or add more to it? 3. Hmm I'm not quite sure on this either. I did enjoy rebirthing, but as you said, going through everything else again wouldn't be fun. But at the same time, the accomplishment and permanent stat gain from it was pretty cool. Maybe something similar could be implemented that didn't require going back to level 1 and re-doing the story? 4. Sounds fine. 5. I agree, walking there at least once so you technically "discover" the location on your map. The skill idea of teleporting sounds nice. Thank you again for responding.

Will we get pathfinding? Then like in runescape, we will just be able to click somewhere and just wait for our character to get there. It still takes time, but at least we don't have to constantly click on the screen while we're waiting.

Of course we'll have pathfinding. Llama's been talking about it in the last few dev blogs... in fact, I'm pretty sure it's being implemented right now. We're all expecting a video of it working in a little while, so look forward to that.

I definitely think teleporting should be optional, supporter only type thing because it's just a convenience thing.
Or, we could all ride on the backs of giant eagles or dragons everywhere.
IMO I liked Rebirth/Ascend type of thing, but I'd rather see it as a kind of optional thing that just raises your stats.
For example in the game of FO it was going to be where you needed Ascend to get to some areas eventually. How in the hell are all the merchant peoples going to do then for leveling? They don't like fighting anyways, and forcing it on them just to get to new areas? Instead make it optional if you're going to do it in the future, just for minor stat bonuses and basically bragging rights basically is all I can see it as, if implemented.
But yes. Optional so everyone's happy.

I thought about doing the riding thing similar to wow. It is possible.
And the pathfinding will not be for long distances. Really just about anywhere within the screen size.
On the topic of a tele skill, I like the idea that there are several options for money making. Like someone could get a skill that allows them to open a portal somewhere. Then they can collect money to open portals if they want to. These sort of sub-economies I like. Another one might be like enchanting. You collect money to enchant weapons. Skills/services for sale I think are great.

Yea, community founded stuff that changes the world of LQ, I think it could be something great!
As for areas that requires a special status like being RB/ASC, they could just mark zones where you fight with that and not the cities.

Smart thinking, also I never understand the need to go to different cities for merching anyways, but I'm not a merchant so I wouldn't know.
There must be some rebirth system in games where you don't start the whole story over again. I'm going to do some research.

Likely won't happen, but it would be interesting if each city had it's own price for items. Things that are not available in once city are purchased for more by npcs. And also when someone dumps a whole bunch of a particular item it could tank the price. I think that making this work efficiently would be such a huge task though that it would be pretty much impossible.

Reminds me of the cryptocurrency protocol where the price is halved once in every x blocks.

It reminds me of the typical merchant games (like the drug ones from many years ago).
