I liked serenia fantasies guild model. It had a member cap that you could increase by donating. You had to donate resources to even use them. It was a like a type of currency.

What if the guild creator could design their own guild emblem? That way everyone's guild can look different from another guild. Kinda like the way they have with clubs in soccer. A set list of guild emblems would work (like in Clash of Clans) but I think being able to make your own emblem would be more worthwhile.

I don't have a problem with people designing their own guild emblem, but it would need to be moderated. Also, you might get rabble if a guild submitted the icon of an existing guild. Without knowing every guild emblem and/or having every emblem visible, a moderator wouldn't know. And at what point do you stop an emblem because it is similar to another. Would a larger guild (meaning louder guild) have more control over whether an emblem is too similar?

it's best if it's something that can be generated in game. so either randomly generated, pre-made, some sort of import or some way to generate a banner/logo. just because it's easier to get done and easier to moderate.

We could create a number of options players can chose from to assemble their own guild logo. Once chosen that combination would be locked so others wouldn't be able to chose that combo.
Giving the options to add guild name abbreviations would set logo's apart as well.
