Honestly, I didn't get to play FO for too long, but I was aware of the guilds.
I found the guild concept to be awesome, but a lot was missing. It felt almost...hollow. Not only was there not that much guild interaction aside from teaming up or guild challenges, but there was an extremely strong lack of representation. There was no way you could show what guild you were in without clicking on the player, and that doesn't show much.
So, that brought me to the thought: exclusive guild outfits (sorry to bring up the old FO, but the coutfit concept was awesome), and guild colors for your outfit (both guild and non-guild). And I don't mean customizable guild outfits, I mean armor that - with the guild level - becomes more decorated and almost "chiseled;" similar to Military outfits and ranks.
With this (and the colors), you would be able to see someone who is part of a distinct guild (i.e. Valhalla, Relentless, etc.).
For a person looking at another, this idea sounds useless, impractical, and dumb. But imagine yourself in the highest ranked guild in the world, wearing your colors proudly.
Honestly, it's a minuscule-seeming idea at first, but I think it would be interesting.
Just a thought, and I want to know what everyone thinks of it. Don't be afraid to criticize it, I won't mind.

The problem with the idea is, considering the Guilds are player-made (as evidenced by the phrase "imagine yourself in the highest ranked guild in the world" which basically translates into "You're the leader of the game's biggest guild"), is that there's a potential number of Guilds equal to the number of total players. Each having their own distinct armor to differentiate themselves from each other, it'd be a pain to create such a number of items, and extremely confusing for all players.
Just pointing out the single biggest issue I found with the idea. I like it, but it's just too impractical.

but seriously, how about an emblem next to your player card with the name of your guild and their flag How about this: When a Guild grows powerful enough (Let's just say "powerful enough" means a Guild Level of ~200 as an example since we don't yet know how Guilds are even gonna work), members get a title-like little text with Guild name and possibly Rank. At an even higher level (Monopolizing Guild Level), they get the option to create an Emblem. All members get a small icon next to their name or something, showing they are part of it. Emblems could even be differently colored for different Guild Ranks.

Biggest problem I see, and you would probably have this with anything based on guild level, is that you would end up with just a few high level guilds and no one would want to start a new one because of the barrier to get the perks. Why create one when I can just join another and get the benefits right away.

Or just let all guilds create an emblem from a set list, and have it display along with the guild's name

I'm playing KingsRoad with mdcc and g2w, and guilds here are capped at 35 members, also you get perks and there's guild levels. So I think a member cap is good to avoid said problem.

Making comparisons to something you like/dislike aren't off topic in a forum/thread about suggestions.
