In FO, I had hand in running a guild that liked to stay open for anyone to join. But with being this guild that welcomes most anyone, you could only expect to have a troll to come in once in a while and make everyone angry. Being an open guild, there was really no way to deal with this other than tell a mod and then hope the situation dissolves after a mod tells the specific troll to stop.
So all in all, my suggestion is to be able to have a guild banning system. Unit leaders still have kicking abilities like in FO, but the leader is the only person with the power to actually BAN someone from the guild.

+1. This was always a challenge when Dark Tide was fledgling and open for all to join. Although, if it wasn't in the beta version I wouldn't lose any sleep.

+3 There was a few people that irritated the hell outta me and I wanted them banned from the guild because they brought such negative emotion in the guild and unnecessary irritation.

yeah, if there are guilds in the game, there are a lot of improvements that can be made to the FO system.

i like the whole Ban, but what about a way so only certain lvled people could join ex. 50rb and a way so you can only join AFTER you pay the money to get in
