I tried working through the previous bug with little results and so I removed the GUI code and imported a new version. I rebuilt most of the screens (just drag and drop now because I had all the scripts written) and the issue no longer exists. So I re-wrote some code to make it cleaner and more portable between scenes. Just a little bit of story done this week, I believe we have decided on the main setting for the tutorial area, and will be able to have a look at the next couple of areas leading up to linking it to the first 'main' area.
It's difficult to work a -lot- on the in-depth story just now, for example not being able to do any actual things with the story as the game mechanics aren't fully decided on, so we can't sort out the individual items/people/etc we need within the tutorial area to work with.
However, we have also been looking at what sort of interesting little 'extra' things we can work into the game, things that don't directly affect gameplay, or even relate to the story, but things that add an extra layer of depth and intrigue once you notice them. Hopefully we'll have lots of cool little things like this for anyone that likes to really delve into that side of games
We have also properly confirmed that overall, we'll be going for a medieval theme for the game, but with our own fancy twist woooo. I don't want to give away too much about it just now, but you can expect a bit more detail on this in the future, probably when we are ready to announce our base for the classes.

Mechanics
We've now started seriously ironing out some mechanics and numbers for combat, characters, classes, etc. Where as before we had some preliminary ideas, right now we are in the process of solidifying everything and getting it all organized. We've certainly got a few surprises coming for you with what our combat system looks like it will be, but no spoiling it yet. Big discussions are springing up and the progress is amazing to watch. I am constantly watching the suggestions section, so keep on posting your suggestions, if we like them we'll certainly find a way to fit them in somewhere!
