I don't know what we are going to do still. But now that I think about the subscription, I don't think we will use it. Or at least not like a normal recurring subscription. I think there are too many problems with stuff like someone not noticing they signed up for a subscription and having to refund or not get the money from them the next month. Sounds like a billing nightmare that I don't have the time or will to deal with. I would rather do something like offer rewards for making regular purchases. Maybe a premium account status and you get a month for every $10 you spend on premium currency with an additional month if you spend $50. Then you can make a payment of $10 a month or just pay $50 and get 6 months.

Perhaps with the new "class" system, you could acquire more skills with subscription or payments of gold/premium currency.

There will probably be an extra slot or two for premium currency.

There will probably be an extra slot or two for premium currency. Please keep PvP in mind. PvP should be fair and competitive. Pay to win will destroy that experience for those who do not pay. I am all for the extra slot being either non-combat or used for strictly PvE purposes. However, I will not endorse giving benefits in PvP. I love the thought though. I would certainly pay for that if it was an option. By all means, sell exclusive recipes for premium currency. I am sure that will bring in some income as we all want to master our professions. As long as we are not forced to pay to continue the game or achieve the best gear / stats, anything paid-for is fair game.

I still say start with cosmetics then as the game advances move into the extra slots or anything you think is necessary at that time.

That is what we will probably end up doing. Cosmetic first and expand later. The extra slot would be for whatever you wanted to use it for, not just non-combat. PvP won't be in the alpha/beta release. By the time PvP is in game, the extra slot probably won't be such a huge benefit for PvP. Also, if currency can be purchased for in game money, you could buy the slot without paying a thing towards the game.
